I've had a canyon endurace-on sitting idle for a while & decided to shift it on. I wasn't aware that you can't sell them on eBay now, something due to batteries  & I've not had a sniff from listing on the STW classifieds.

So how do people shift their unwanted ebikes?

Facebook Marketplace is pretty much all that's left now.

Pinkbike buy/sell has an ebikes section.

It's much better than STW for selling normal bikes & gear, so I imagine it'll be the same for eebs

There are loads of private sellers with ebikes listed on eBay, what are their new rules for ebike sales?

That's where I bought mine - from a private seller.

Just checked and it allows me to set up an ad for an ebike

I bought my Levo from here:

https://www.emtbforums.com/forums/ebikes-for-sale.30/

I thought that on eBay most people just listed their eBike as "new" or just listed it as a "bike" to get around the listing changes.

just tried it, as trying to sell my commuter bike. No dice. Wont list it, no matter what condition i say its in. very annoying.

Maybe your feedback is too low? Can't see why it would let one private seller advertise and not another. Have you tried picking a similar bike from the listings and doing "Sell one like this"? it gives the category then. You just need to amend it to your specific bike.

I sold one on there recently, I realised it was the ‘item specifics’ that was the driver to not letting me list it.

I just listed it as an MTB and put the model in the title and the details in the description & it was fine.

Newport Cycle Repairs popped up on my Arsebook feed today, they buy ebikes.

I sold an ebike on ebay after the changes came in. Just listed it in the "bikes" category instead of the "ebikes" category I think.
