i've got somewhere to stay in grenoble at weekends now, so want to make the most of riding near-by, not too much of a drive.
i'm aware that Les Deux-Alpes, Chamrousse and Alpe D'Huez stations are nearby btu no idea about riding possibilities.
I ride a spesh Pitch and would like not mental DH trails or huge jumps but open to either bike-park red route type stuff, or good long natural stuff.
of course it's worth having a guide etc but i'm on a budget already and will be by myself so can't share the cost.
so any recommendations?
ok, just done a bit of research 😳
alpe d'huez is where the mega avalanche is! duh!
but only the chamrousse is still open this month.
oh well, otherwise maybe i'll have to achly do some climbing...
I seem to recall there is bike park at Villard de lans which is about 25miles away?

They produce a handy (surprisingly good) free guide:

This contains quite a few valley rides too, so worthwhile tracking down a copy. I got mine at the tourist office in Bourg D'Oisans
