You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Been pissed about by a training provider and I'm now staying in Wakefield for 4 nights next week. The course finishes at 4pm each day so I'm thinking Tuesday and Thursday I might get out on the mtb. I don't have a GPS thingy so some way marked trails would be ideal, maybe even a trail centre? Any thoughts?
Greno?
wakefield wheel is ok as a gravel type loop.

bike park is ok for a few hours.
wakefield is a bit devoid of much really.
There's some decent bits round Wakey but it's pretty spread out so lots of crap in between. It's pretty flat until you start heading west towards Huddersfield as well. I'd be heading to Leeds bike park if I was you especially if you've never been. It's on the Wakefield side of Leeds so shouldn't take you long to get there
I get bored after a lap at LBP head over to grenoside and Wharncliffe, I'd offer to show you around but I'm away, I'm sure someone will offer though!
Id be happy to show you around wharni if you let me know what evening you want to ride. It will be a tad greasy but that makes it more fun IMHA.
Leeds bike park is a good quick blast but more for sessioning stuff. If you're willing to drive an hour or so north or south there's shed loads of stuff to do. What are you looking for?
I can do a few hours Tuesday or Thursday if you need a guide. and a drink after.
Most riding round Wakefield is canal river woodland old rail types stuff ton prob your man for local rides, how close will you be ? poss. Hudds area a Bit hillier? On the bright side your only here 4 days😃 (some areas of W Yorks need nuking)
