We've got a long weekend off. Where can we go within 3 hours of Oxfordshire that won't be rammed?
We want off-road cycling of some form. A campsite and a good food pub.

All suggestions welcome.

Does hope not get a tad busy on a sunny bank holiday weekend?

I dunno, maybe. but the MTBing is top notch.
If you want somewhere more quiet try Shropshire? perhaps around Much Wenlock, It's an area often overlooked lots of history and lovely countryside, not too touristy (apart from Ironbridge) so shouldn't be rammed and you can ride the Long Mynd out of Church Stretton.

Not a bad call. We haven't been to Shropshire for a while.

If you are heading for Shropshire Ludlow has some amazing riding at the moment and also Hopton Woods is very close

@TW - lots of routes here

If you're in the van you can wild camp in lots of places.

Cheers. The van really isn't ready for a wild camp. This girl needs a shower in the morning. The pack of baby wipes in the side door just isn't enough.

Ty Morgans is about the best bet for good food in Rhayader.
There's also a descent camp site in town.
