So I'm looking for somewhere with guaranteed good weather. Doesn't need to be hot, just dry and sunny with highs of, say, 15-20 degrees. Also, I'd like it to be as close as possible, so please don't suggest Chile!

Alps are out of the question. Northern Italy might be risky. I'm thinking south of Spain or the Canary Islands - anyone been at that time of the year? Where else should I consider?

Morocco? Fly into Agadir and base yourself at Tafraout.

Oh, Morocco could be a goer.

I've never been, riding or otherwise.

Any guided holiday providers that you'd recommend?

Anywhere they are not running an ews or morzine.
USA/Canada is one flight these days so BC or utah, there are more stable weather areas in the alps and then you get Spain and Italy.

After that cairns in August looks great

We've always had boss weather in Pila when we've been.

It has been atrocious in France on some visits but splendid in Italy.

Morocco, I've been twice around Xmas new year time and the riding's fantastic. One year I remember looking for shade at a stop point as it was a bit hot. They were organised mtb holidays, but worth it as all I had to do was ride my bike ... Might go again soon, although this Xmas I'll be in Australia 😀

We're about as far south in Europe as you can get but we still don't have guarranteed sunshine in the Winter. Probably Canary Isles are the nearest or you'd possibly get a cheap deal to Egypt or Israel now!

Re Morocco, give Exodus a call. I've biked all over Morocco with a mate that used to be one of their guides. It's an awesome place. Crossing the Jebel Sahro by bike remains one of the most awesome rides I've ever done. Gnarly XC rather than serious downhill, mind.
