Cheapest way to make a spacer kit is to use spacers from an old cassette, although a 'proper' kit looks nicer.
Try to buy a 1/8th SS chain too, they last much longer as they're designed not to flex side to side like a normal chain. Plus they shed mud much better 🙂
Charlie the bikemonger for Stronglight ally.
Velosolo for stainless steel.
After 10yrs on the singlespeed bandwagon I'm not convinced by the BMX chain thing myself.
thanks for pointing out hubjub and velosolo, never heard/used them but have exactly what i need and not too expensive either
and now i see more things i think i need 🙂
I've some left over from a project, they're titanium though so stronger than alloy. bought from pro-bolt. mail me if any interest. dc30 AT fsmail.net
I logged onto STW a few minutes ago to ask just this question dobo, and what should I see, but that it had already been asked!
This forum helps lots of people and is a great resource.
Thanks everyone.
Tartybikes as well, oh and most decent bike shops should have some, I sold some during the week, lots of them seem to be torx bolts now though.
LBS?
We have em in, I'd assume most places would!
