I've never seen a broken middleburn, the scrolls foretold of such an event.

Be afraid my friends, the prophecy is complete.

Something dark this way comes.

Is that ISIS? Be a bold move for BETD to continue making ISIS cranks these days, square taper I get but ISIS is hopefully extinct. Fingers crossed BETD have one lurking in the spares they inherited from Middleburn. Lovely cranks.

not at BETD and would look to be very spendy if they did. Got a Truvativ isis 175mm that fits fine in the end, okay not as good looking but does the job...thanks all.

What's wrong with ISIS? I've got 2 bikes still running it on SKF BBs and they're both great.* Wasn't it the bearing sizes rather than the interface that was the issue?

*OK they're my dirt jump and DH bikes and they don't get ridden (much) but still ;o)

Nope.

Found a square-taper Middleburn crankset with worn left crank arm though :/

Yes, which generally meant the bearings lasted less time than a set of FSA Powerpro cranks.

I think they actually kept the interface with one of the external standards but I may be making that up.

ISIS = stronger, stiffer axle but at the expense of the bearing longevity.

Don't e-bikes use the ISIS interface?

They're certainly advertised as ISIS but whether it's the same ISIS as the old MTB standard is another matter. I'd love to say this means that that brings back the option of fitting new ebike cranks to my ISIS BBs but I guess they don't have a drive side spider so I guess it's out. Shame as I would like to try 160 arms on my DH bike.
