I need some new wheel straps for my thule towbar rack - they are the fabric type that thread through the rack and then get pulled tight. Anyone know where to buy these? (sure they're available generically but don't know the right name to search for them). thanks.

Fasty straps - http://www.roofbox.co.uk/straps/fasty_straps_range.php

Way cheaper than the Thule ones, with a better buckle thing.

Or you can just toe straps from toe clips. Hold plenty well enough & often found very cheap or free at your friendly LBS

I bought 6 fasty straps a couple of months ago, they are spot on!

Very good quality and much better than the supplied thule straps that came with the rack.

I have a towball mounted 3-bike G2. The straps are not long enough to stretch around long wheelbase DH bikes (or even trail bikes really).

Have you found a decent solution to replace the existing (too short) plastic wheel straps ?

+1 for the fasty straps - very handy when you forget to do the strap up after dropping your mates off, and the straps drop out. 😳

Pretty handy for strapping sleeping bags and tents to your rack too - for camping trips.

The fastystraps do the job perfectly well, but they don't have the fabric behind the metal clasp like the Thule ones do, so you need to be a bit more careful with the placement to avoid damaging the rims.
