Could anybody point be in the direction of a cheapo adapter so that I can plug my [US pin] DX charger in? Local Maplin does one for about £5.00 but I'm sure I can do better than that.

Bathroom shaver power outlet has 110v pinout the DX charger fits into.

Cost £0.00.

Deal Extreme do them for a dollar or two I think. Delivery might take a while though.

Great thanks guys......... will send Mrs Sharkbait off on a mission next time she's near Tesco. Meanwhile I'll try the shaver trick 🙂

Little update - although the shaver socket has a 110v socket the plug doesn't fit very well. Fits the 240v socket fine though. Job done.

Err check the voltage and you'll probably find it handles either.

Mine did so I simply cut the plug off and fitted a UK 3 pin

Yes it does, 110v - 240v

It's the charger for the bastid light and the charger is built into the plug so you can't remove it. On my P7 torch battery charger though I did just cut off the plug and put a UK one on.
