Hiya all, my friend and I are off to downhill at Inners. Do you have any recommendations as to where to eat for lunch and then evening meal. We will be staying in Inners itself 🙂

Traquair Arms isn't bad. Had a nice meal there a year or so ago.

There's a new cafe just opposite the Traquair Arms that's had some good reviews - No.1 Peebles Road. And there's the Whistlestop too, but only for lunch.

Thanks guys, is there a decent Italian type place nearby, maybe in Peebles for carb loading?

The Indian in Inners is top notch. Book a table if you want a seat though it's tiny. Me and the Mrs. ended up in the DH track car park with it spread out in the van. Still bloody lovely though.

+1 for lunch at either Whistlestop Cafe or No 1 Peebles Road

The indian [Saffron] in Innerleithen is pretty decent. Limited seating so either book or grab a takeaway.

I often think my riding is a bit sluggish tho' after a big curry night!

... and agreed - the Prince of India in Peebles is just average. The starters are fine, but the mains a tad disappointing.

If you fancy Pizza/Italian you could try Francos in Peebles (above the Bridge pub). Decent pizzas etc at reasonable prices

Traquair Arms is ok for pub-grub

Another one for the italian in Peebles. And Cocoa Black for the mid afternoon munchies. Or mid morning munchies.

as above traquire is decent pub grub, the indian in inners is good - the one in peebles is very poor we thought.

If you like a Pizza there is a place joined onto St.Ronans bar, you can order your pizza and go sup a few pints in the pub and they will bring it through.

We ordered 21 pizzas the last time we where in, reckon it was the pizza and bars busiest night of the year lol

Re. the indian in Peebles, I'm veggie and they had a very good veggie selection so I'm basing my like on that. YMMV
