Corrieries is only a wee walk away, there's nowhere fabulous to eat in the town centre. Places to avoid aplenty. Hate to say it but Stirling is a bit of a wasteland for eating out in my opinion.

Corrieries is fabulous, tell them someone from Stirling Bike Club sent you, and they'll smile even more than normal!

In that case you're screwed. I'd recommend going to the chippy on Glasgow road rather than try anywhere else.

Alternatively, head out to Bridge Of Allan as there are a couple of places there. La Cucina or Paparazzi are well worth a couple of quid in a taxi.

Thanks. I'm in some Aussie type place awaiting a 'roo burger. How bad can it be?

You're going to die, there are no Roos in Stirling, it's a rat they've shipped up from the Raploch. Can I have your bikes?

If you do survive there are a couple of halfway decent pubs on Baker St heading up towards the castle.

PS if I'd known you were coming I'd have kept some of tonight's macaroni cheese and garlic bread for you. It was rather fabulous even if I do say so myself.

+1 La Cucina, had a fantastic late Sunday lunch there a couple of months ago
