No ride for me I did a 100Km charity walk from Holy Island to the new Northumbumbria Hospital.

Just a 30km spin round the local woods. They're starting to get sticky again.

The Ridgeway from Aston Tirrold to UffingtoN and back. And Grimms Ditch out to Nettlebed this morning.

Kerrera sandwiched between some swimming and fell running.

Lovely!

Just some local trails for three plus hours but on the cross bike for the first time since last winter! Weather perfect for the crosser ie very wet!! 😐

Yep I did the saturday race.

Its probably my favourite event but it is hard work!

And my goggles snapped about a minute into the swim so I had to breast stroke the whole way with my head out of the water.

Just round my local trails, jet lag still giving me a kicking so everything seems harder work. Bit of a cool start to Spring down here

None for us this weekend, Abigale was doing the Barnsley Hospice 10k run.

Blackstone Edge sort of area yesterday. Found some new trails (new to me!), massive OTB on a familiar bit (no injury).

Local CX today but mainly on road. First CX puncture cut the ride short. Three cyclists and one group passed; all stopped to help (I was fine). Nice.

riding a sander this weekend, the windows need doing before the winter sets in. if the weather had been rubbish I could have got out...

I did my first big road ride, the Lakeland Loop. Not got much riding in this year with moving house so happy enough I could do just shy of 70 miles and 7440 feet of climbing. Had a ale/burger stop at 58 miles though...

A little 20 miler yesterday to explore a few alternative routes to my usual bigger ride. Getting very muddy in places now.

Probably the last warm sunny summer's day Sunday and I'm on call for work. Arghhh. Might risk a little potter in a bit though 8)

Been at the SSUK 2015 do, and feeling very broken from riding.

ClimachX- all fully open again now, despite what some leftover signs say.
Is it just me or is the final descent rockier than it used to be? (It is brilliant- better than I remember).

We had a bit of a turf down to Thorpe Thewles for coffee and a cream scone, followed by an overladen grind home to collapse on the sofa 😀

Digging at glentress yesterday then took the rigid out for a wee spin, hadn't really decided what to do when I went up and sort of accidentally went and did some EWS race stages. Strava records were not smashed and my front wheel may not be round now but, good laugh.

First time on the mountain bike since beating myself up at Les Arcs.
Went up to Rivi,rode up to the Pike,asked another rider about that descent with the boulders at the top 'Yeah no problem mate,it's dead easy when you get past the top part'.30 seconds later he's flat out, smashed glasses & a big F-off dent in his helmet.A young bloke with a first aid kit saw it happen so we got him cleaned up & the first aider said I've crashed here a few times myself mate.After that lot I decided to drop of the Pike my usual way...

Unfortunately much more pressing things to sort out and do, i.e. sorting out clothing, tents, sleeping bags, barbour jackets, walking boots, toiletries etc for the refugee crisis in Calais.

Might even try and fund a trip to go and help the needy.

Apart from that, I'm catching up on my armchair riding at the moment. 🙄

I went to Hadleigh Park today. it was lovely, but more on that later...

Kielder 101 yesterday in cracking weather (and I won a skills course, which is sorely needed), then an accidental 70km CX ride with friends as a "recovery ride" today (excellent scone and homemade jam at the tearoom in Blanchland halfway round to keep me going).

No riding this weekend due to family commitments, but i'm still buzzing from a great day with the Jedi earlier in the week 😆

Did a loop of Ladybower with the youths yesterday ,5 year old girl on her BMX ,she will be a cycling Legend and my moany lad who just wanted xbox time (minecraft grrrr)

And a cheeky 2 hour run out locally and found a new descent down a local more leading to a nice singletrack through the wood at the bottom , made my day

Did the N Yorks Moors mtb Marathon which was fabulous. Great weather,great views and great riding. I only did the 50k route which was more than enough for my ageing legs, some loons did the 100k route in very little more time than my 50!

Loop around Curbar and Froggat Edges in White Peak - Great day out in the sunshine, spectacular scenery, everything a Sunday out on the bike should be for me 🙂

Rode out from Uppermill way to above Stalybridge. Fantastic cheeky trail down to Walkerwood Reservoir in the picture. I know, I know, but aren't all the goods ones cheeky over that way? 😉

Demoed a Banshee Spitfire in the Peak around Ladybower yesterday, had a great ride, ace bike, shame the frame was to small!

Today headed to the Peak again, Linacre Classic in reverse with a mate and the wife. Cracking day.

60k on the road bike locally with coffee stop at platform 22 in yestedays wind. Flew home, then set up my new alpkit luggage for next weeks c2c of scotland..

Local mtb yesterday, road ride this morning and a gentle spin with Mrs TJ and my mate this afternoon,who after 2 years of not being able to ride his bike for major heart issues, we managed to get a lap of Greenham Common under his belt today. So all round a great effort.

I did this yesterday...

Spent the weekend at Fort William, Downhill track is running pretty well at the moment, new PR too, judging by gopro, 6:04 instead of 6:19.

Did the N Yorks Moors mtb Marathon which was fabulous. Great weather,great views and great riding. I only did the 50k route which was more than enough for my ageing legs, some loons did the 100k route in very little more time than my 50!

I also opted for the 50. Great day out although slowed by cramp at the end. Height of my ambition was getting home in a time that was vaguely competitive with those doing twice as far.

FoD solo on Friday after an early site visit, then an awesome quick spin around the Punchbowl hitting a drop and 5' gap jump on a new (to me) trail with a mate. Good times..

I dont often feel the need to gloat but Ive been in Big Bear in California hitting the Snow Summit track on a rental trek slash 7. I think I might have converted to loving 27.5! Didnt even notice until after thr weekend was finished.

Only bummer to the weekend was discovering that the park had a fatal crash last week, the second in August alone.

Rode my road bike from Manchester to London. 225 miles, 17 hours. Stunning and exhausting day out.

Nowhere really. Get five minutes out of the door, by the side of the trail there's a blackberry bush, then a Blackthorne, some plums, apples.... Get back two hours later my Camelbak is full of fruit and I've not been ten miles. Got the runs this morning from eating so much.

It was fine with just me on it but having another rider come past at speed underneath you is pretty terrifying the first time.
