Just read on the other thread about cables about 1.1mm cables making a difference in shifting performance...
Any idea if they're available to buy in bulk anywhere?

Keeping an eye on this, i just learnt there are different types of cables and outer! Let me know if you found anywhere to get SP41 sealed ferrules that aren't ridiculous prices while you're at it...

I tried some cables in my workshop once similar to the ones advertised in the post above, and the nipples had casting joins that had to be filed before they’d fit the levers and 50% were not welded correctly at the end so wouldn't thread through the outers, I was discarding 50%! I chucked away (scrapped) half a box. Back to Jagwire and Shimano, polished, stainless, reliable. Lowest price online is not always an indicator of quality! Go to your bike shop/workshop!!

I refer to my post above. Very disappointed with the product and I wasn’t aware that the forum was available for advertising as immediately above this post which is why I frame my comments carefully. I wanted to use a British product in my workshop but was SO disappointed that, as I said above, scrapped over half a box of inners, didn’t even think it was fair to pass on to local cycling charities. Quality control shouldn’t allow this situation, NEVER had this problem with Jagwire or Shimano.

I've a workshop box of Clarks stainless that has been fine. No issues whatsoever.

I've been using Clarks for a while, mostly because CRC had them at a big discount, so I bought 10, and they send me about 20. But they're perfectly good.

Yes, I’ve used Clarks too, reliable and good quality, not quite as smooth but a small difference (Refuse to say marginal gain! As it brings back bad memories of when I was enthusiastic about cycle sport). Clarks do some good stuff including their hydraulic brakes.

I’ve just fitted new Jagwire stainless cables to my hybrid.
Good quality.
I paid £4.50 with postage for 2 via eBay.
