Looking for recommendations for somewhere for 3 days riding next spring. Three of us coming from Yorkshire and one from Bournemouth so looking halfway ish.

Dont mind a couple of days trail centre and one XC but three of us are mid sixties and don’t do jumps etc.

Been to Afan/Glyncorrwg and Llandegla this year.

Would we get 3 days from FOD?

Was maybe thinking of Coed y Brenin, it’s 15 years since I was last there so not sure what it’s like now.

Where else should we be looking at? Tia.

CyB would be high on my list, FoD could be a swampfest off piste.

It's still great fun on a modern trail bike. I do it at least once a year. And I'll second the Pont Scethin nearby for an old school ride with some long, gnarly, rocky descents and a pub stop.

Shropshire is a great call as well. Are you into off-piste enduro kind-of tracks? South Wales has some lovely stuff if so.

Yep, for me, its CYB, Penmacho, both Marin Trails (Gwydyr Mawr and Bawr now?) etc. Nice place to visit too.

CYB maybe the oldest trail centre, but its still one of the best. Lots of good stuff.

If you wan't North Wales, take a look at the Conwy Mountain or Clwydian Range for natural routes - 20-25 miles.

We're hopefully doing the Clywdian Range on Saturday as it's a short hop from my caravan to the northern edge of the route. It's about 23 miles, loads of climbing - all natural routes. Then Deggers Sunday as we've not been in ages.
Gwydyr is great as is Penmachno, but expect to be drowned there- we did it in the rain last year, and the bikes needed a good service after. CYB is a big trail centre - loads to do. Bit rocky and slippy in the wet.

We stayed recently in Llangollen, Clwydian Hills as fossy mentioned.

First time there but was superb and something different to trail centres.

There's a singletrackworld classic ride which was a brilliant brilliant day.

It's close enough to Llandegla which I always enjoy.

A little further to Marin which I really enjoy a lot.  Penmachno I personally enjoy less.

If staying in the Clwydian Range the check flat tyres MTB as thats a superb resource for local rides.

Thanks for all the suggestions chaps, plenty to go at there, probably enough for 3 or 4 trips!
I shall go away and do some research.
