Hi,

I've replaced my frame bearings and so it's time to replace my stocks. The perso who i used on eBay seems to have given up.

Bike components de have a complete kit, but won't ship an order to me of less than €130.

Where do you get your frame bearings from? I've seen bearing stockists recommended. The only time I tried that, they didn't have the one bearing I wanted and couldn't get it ( it was a headset bearing).

4 x Nicolai 61802 2RS stainless steel ball bearings
2 x Nicolai Max 7902 2RS stainless steel angular ball bearings
2 x Nicolai 6001 2RS radial ball bearings, 28 x 12 x 8 mm

Thanks!

Wych
Simply
Kinetic

I either buy a kit or shop around for the best deal by part #.

Trailvision on Ebay - their Blueseal bearings are packed with extra grease, I think, and they are good to deal with.

I used Kinetic recently and they were spot on, decently priced and I think they're also packed with extra grease like some others.

I have used BTED & Wych
Both stock the bearings with the greater ball/race surface contact for higher loads.

Hope for frame bearings, as they're free. Otherwise Wych, Simply Bearings or Kinetic depending on what's needed and what they have in stock.

Last couple of times I've needed bearings I've used Kinetic, good prices and free first class postage.

Used to use the local bearing place, owned by a mate but live 70miles away now so online it is!

I've always gone direct to Nicolai in the past - the Helius was bushings minds.

Have you contacted Geometron?  They may be able to help.

+1

bearings seem pretty decent, full compliment where needed and packed with marine grease.

Another one for Trailvision. Been using him for years on all our Specialized bikes.

Whatever you do, stay away from mbbearings.co.uk which I had very bad experience in the past.

Absolutely NOT simply bearings, wheel or frame, extortionate prices 6903 Enduro abec3 £8.25, £14.29 is you want stainless, Winstanleys £5 for same Enduro abec3.
Enduro 6902 max £9.75, winstanleys £6, it all adds up when you need several.
Considering all they sell is bearings and buy huge quantities compared to bike shops they should at least be price matching, it's ridiculous.

Wych, Kinetic and the usual crowd.

For wheels, I only really buy NSK, NTN or decent Japanese bearings now as they outlast anything else. Stainless for headsets (Hope, if they'll fit as they tend to be well priced and decent quality!), but otherwise good quality, Japanese bearings. Enduro for linkage bearings - always get the max fill variants if possible and, unless otherwise stated, pack 'em with XHP222 until they are groaning.
