Hi

Trying to find a replacement thru axle for the front wheel of my CX bike - can’t seem to find one anywhere!

It appears to measure 125x15 but everything seems to be 12mm now for road forks and there are no spares anywhere!

Any suggestions on where to get one from?

Cheers
Simon

Look for a 15x100mm MTB front axle?

Rapilock modular kit rings a bell. GPLama did a video showing how to put it together.

Trek do a 15x125mm TA (M15x1.5 thread). £17.49, they have stock in their Netherlands warehouse so could take anywhere from 3 days to many weeks to get to the UK.

Look up the bike on the manufacturers website and find the exact length and pitch of the thread or send an email if you can't work it out or it isn't on the axle. All you need to know is the length and pitch and length of pitch.

I got a replacement for my scandal and the thread was just a bit too long and sticks out the side but I can live with that.

You can get a reducer kit to take it to 12mm but there are not cheap.

Or alternatively try all your mates mtb axles until one fits.

What bike is it? My saracen avro is 15x100.

It’s a Boardman cxr 9.0 although the frame is pretty much all that’s left of the original bike now!!

I’ve realised it has a rockshox axle in there at the moment so hopefully I’ll be able to get specs from that. I tried Boardman but they’re pants and didn’t have the info as it’s a 2016 frame which is too old now apparently!!

MT Zoom have most axles. As said, you just need the length (125), diameter (15mm) and pitch (probably 1.5 but can be 1.0 or 1.25 or even 1.75mm)

The "SRAM STYLE ROAD FRONT" looks like yours.
