After a pair of these but can't find any. Found some duro ones but they are about 350g per tyre heavier than the already nokians. Thanks

I think you can find them for sale in 2001? Just hop in your DeLorean... 😉

Or I left one in the coal shed of a house I once lived in down in York....

350g is nothing against the weight of those nokians. They're total monsters. I assume you're thinking for snow use? I'd expect something lighter and more modern about 2.5 would be better. Maxxis come in 2.7 which are nearly as big.

Or go the other way and go narrow.

You could probably run the duros about 10psi (if not less) in snow mind....

They are a bit like hens teeth!

I've got a gazza 26 x 3.0 75-559 version which was intended for a 1/2 fat project. Unfortunately in a vain attempt to get it to fit I trimmed down the outer nobbles and still wouldn't fit. Central tread is virtually as new and the outer nobs are about 1/2 size.

If you are interested let me know and I'll send some pics but I'm going on nightshift so it'll be tomorrow. £10 posted if you want it.

The 26x2.6 is better anyway, although I think only unicycle.com have any of those left.

I'm riding one of those at the moment, and it is great in snow - can run a ludicrously low pressure on a wide rim. I have all wheel drive too - brilliant traction even up slippy slopes.

The duro is where it's at if you still want a massive balloon tyre, crazy sidewalls for even lower pressure,

Joe
