You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hi,
The rebound adjuster on my Fox 32 Vanilla R 140 fork (2008 model) has stopped working - it spins infinitely without clicking, making no difference to rebound. I contacted Mojo, who said that the 'meter rod' must be broken and will need replacing. They quoted me £70 for the repair, which unfortunately I can't afford.
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement metering rod from? I looked onlined, but can't find any sources. Also, has anyone attempted such a repiar on their own? Is it easy/does it require any special tools?
Cheers,
Pete
I have the same fork, same problem. Intend opening them up and taking a look, just not had time to do it yet, to se if the rod could be repaired with a sleeve or welded. Interested to see how you get on.
Thanks kimbers. I've actually emailed loco about the problem, but haven't heard back yet.
Still, ideally I'd like to be able to fix it myself. Mojo said that the part costs just £10, but labour is £59, plus £7.90 for postage, which seems a little steep.
You can just send us the damper unit and we'll fit it for you (really need the correct shaft clamps to fit them to avoid damage to the unit.
Edit: have replied to the mail too from late last night 😉
