Looking for a bit of inspiration for the weekend please! Anywhere ideally within 2h30 from south Yorkshire, may 3hrs tops. Had thought about going to Penmachno, Marin and Llandegla, although not massively excited about trails centres at the moment. Otherwise maybe some Proper Mountain biking in the Lakes - it'll be chilly but also quiet this time of year. Nice loop around Ambleside and Grasmere area one day, something higher up the other day. Or maybe Swaledale perhaps? Not ridden there for years but I remember it being good.

What are you lot up to?

Not sure yet. Will be a Saturday for me this week. Possibly Peak district, but maybe something more local like Rivington...

Health permitting (mild lurgy day 12, been more fatigued last 2 days), given it's supposed to be dry and mild temps on Sunday, I'm hoping to do a 60+ mile loop for the first time this year... Get over to the cat3 hill above Petersfield, up Brow Hill, through South Harting and then head back towards Southampton via West Marden and maybe Speltham Hill in Hambledon. 😈

BHF Peaks ride from Hope. Should be a good day out, but I know it's going to hurt cos of being woefully under prepared.

Lake District as it's where I live, unless we pop over the border to bonny Scotland

Try to make the Ladybower loop, if I end up getting up late then a trip to Lady Cannings or Rother Valley, to have a quick blast for an hour or three.

A quick training ride to and around Bushy Park and back along the river on the hardtail on Friday evening, a gentle jaunt round Swinley with my 8yr old son on Saturday, then Southern Enduro's Round 2 on Sunday.

Ideally a 60mile roady route around the Cotswolds on Saturday, in my better-late-than-never training for Velo Brum at the start of May. Weather looks bleedin' awful though

Going to give the Mary Townley loop a crack. Been pretty dry so shouldn't be to much of a slog. Must buy jelly babies.

If anyone is at a loose end Sunday, you're welcome to keep us company.

Llandegla I think, as much for the cafe as the trails.
