Aye, I thought it might be the 6th - a wee area between Mauchline and Catrine, just next to Ballochmyle golf course. It's very short and not worth travelling for, unless you can pedal to it IMO, but there is a decent loop you can do that takes it in which is a better option. Gimme a PM if you want a strava trace.

The guys other video at Loch Doon, that's worth heading to, some brilliant wee descents, and a climb back to the top too, which is unusual for built stuff round here, no one ever builds a climb!.

Andy, it's a fair old drive from Stranraer, I dunno if I'd drive that far for just the built stuff.

Fortunately, there's some other good riding in the area that you could tack it onto, I'll pm you a route, and where the trails are, and if you're up for it, I'll show you around after lockdown is done?.

Greg.

Thanks for the help really appreciate it

If you could PM a loop for both trails would be great

In the original video the comments also mentions trails been built in North Ayrshire not sure if you or anyone else know the location of them?

Thanks

Swan, I can't think of much built in NA, apart from stuff up by fairlie and Kelburn, I'll send you those too.

There's some decent stuff in the hill above Darvel too, loads of it.

Top tip, message sprockets cycles, ask Dave to put you on their ride group chat. They're aw daft, and ebike mad, but a good bunch and ride all the good bits around the shire.

Fairlie is 100% my favourite though. Stunning views, and has a bit of everything, we built/cleared most of the good bits, and I know a couple of boys are up building more now.

Does Dougie Park still exist in any form? That used to be a great fun wee trail (many moons ago)

It was rebuilt again 2 years ago, but there is quite often cattle up there, so it gets trashed. No sure now tbh.

I'll take a hike up and have a look, I'm in Largs so have nothing better to do.

I miss the old ski jump, that served me well once I hit a real bike park!

Thanks @Nobeerinthefridge / Greg, hopefully will get the chance to ride up there later in the summer. I'm up looking after an elderly parent at the moment, at somepoint need to go home back south, but will need to be up here again.

@mashr

So, after a belated jaunt up the hill I can confidently report that there's sod all evident up Dougie Park. Bracken everywhere, you can only tell where the old ski jump and landing were by the tree and wee gorse you had to avoid, same all over. Even the road is overgrown, that fence has obviously encouraged everything to bush out where it was getting walked through before.

It's not a mattock you need as opposed to a flamethrower.

Bollocks.

The stuff built in auchincruive is excellent SK, not long, mibbe 60 sec descents, but about 5 or 6 of them, and a nice wee climb back to the top for a change.

Got a wee bikepark vibe to it.
