I've put up with shite Sram gears and brakes on a few of the bikes I purchased recently just because there seemed to be sod all choice. Shimano's refusal to get their shit together on the 1by side of things, presumably aided by SramShox having the clout to tell bike manufacturers to use their groupsets and suspension as a package seems to have made it inevitable that all bikes come with shitty Avid spongyfeel brakes and jockey wheels that need replacing every few days. ( I exagerate slightly)
But now Shimano are doing 1x12, I don't get it. Fair enough, the Sram/Avid stuff might be cheap as chips, but surely there is a market for decent bikes with decent Shimano kit on it?
Looked at the YT Izzo, Spec Epic Evo and loads of others. Almost nothing seems to have Shimano. Orbea seems to, but not much else.

Please recommend a carbon fibre fully with Shimano kit for long, long, self propelled rides?
The Canyon Neuron CF9.0 comes with XT cranks, chainring, derailleur and cassette. The shifter and brakes are SLX though (4 pot on the front).
No complaints from me so far after 3 months of riding.

I'd have recommended a Trek fuel ex but they're long sold out. Waiting for the 2021 version to land.
Shimano lost a lot of OEM share by messing up on XTR supply, dragging heels on microspline and just not having cheap 1x12 options until recently. Deore 1x12 will start to win back share but not until 2021 bikes hit shops.

you sure? Sram shifters I tried where nice and clicky. Generally prefer shimano everything, although I recently tried Maguras mt5 which seemed close to perfect in the feel department.
Here! 470 reach in medium, 66.5 HA, 76.5 SA. Very light. Aiming for full XT, SID Ultimates with SID Luxe shock, 1500g wheels and your choice of tyres for £3500-4000 est.
You just have to wait about six weeks while we get our lives in order. Lockdown has been a little hectic for the bike trade and we are a little behind.

Yep for 12 speed, works fine. All Shimano so much smoother though
I'm running 12 speed SLX on Sram cassette. It's ok but not perfect. I'll swop to a Shimano cassette once this one wears out.
If you look for brands without model years, they’ll sort you out XT now… for everyone else, just wait for their new range to be launched.

Suspect someone above has already covered it with the Sram/Rockshox offerings for both groupsets and suspension solutions all-in-one.
Was having a look at the new XT 12-speed a couple of weeks ago - looks nice but the mech itself doesn't look too substantial. Got a call later that day asking for a lift as the mech had somehow caught the largest sprocket and bent the cage near the top jockey wheel.
Seems to be made from cheese as I got there and bent it back in to shape by hand without too much effort.
Seemed to be a rather poor build to me, I remember XT as being bombproof but the current XT rear mech is very much the opposite of that.
I suspect manufacturers aren't looking for longevity now...people appear to be 'happy' to pay the prices that the stuff is costing and also don't seem too bothered about a 'short' lifespan for the kit (short will vary between people, some may consider 2 years a good life for a mech and others will consider a minimum of 10 years, etc.). If the manufacturer isn't selling kit, they aren't making money so building in a means to reduce the lifespan will help with selling parts. Suspect kit is also getting used harder these days as well.
Pretty much the entire KTM range,but the 2020 ones are sold out, 2021 are due end of summer so look out for them.
