MCTDJnr is needing a small framed 26" bike as he's grown out of his 24" Hardrock. He doesn't ride enough to justify spending more than £250-300 max.

Been looking for 3-4 months now but nothing sensible coming up on eBay, on here, in the end of season sales (plenty of small ladies bikes in the sales, not unisex). Are they a rarity, am I missing them when they come along, where else should I be looking?

All made worse by the fact that he knows we have a second hand bike hidden for his sister at Xmas.....

(I have suggested that we get a frame and swap the bits over from my bike for some proper father/son bonding time but MrsMCTD has seen through my flimsy ploy to get myself a new mountain bike...... 🙄 )

I think that quality 14" bikes get passed down or on. Anyone investing in such a nice bike will probably be an enthusiast who will know other like-minded individuals. I've already had an offer on Teen2's XS Defy and there are a few in our club who'd rather like his XS mtb as well.

And 14" Konas are great, we had a Blast Deluxe and it was superb.
