Hi everyone, I have a problem that is most likely very silly indeed, so apologies in advance.
I recently had to service my One Up (V1) dropper post, so am now renewing the cable.
I have a problem where the tension on the dropper cable changes as i turn my stearing, the dropper works perfectly when there is a nice amount of tension but obviously doesnt work when the tension slackens.
This is probably a silly little thing that i am missing, please see me right
Either your outer cable is not seated properly at the end, or its too short with not enough flex to cope with the steering movement....
Either way, you shouldn't be putting tension on a cable by turning the bars. Install a longer outer and make sure there is no slack in the inner when you secure it.
Remember that on the V1, it's the outer that activates the dropper. If the bend into the seat tube is too tight, or if there's a kink somewhere, it won't work properly. The cable just needs to be pulled through the lever until there's no slack.
