My frame is 10 this year. Happy birthday etc.. It's still riding well, I like it lots and it's not broken all the major parts are less than 3 years old. Is there a compelling reason to change it?

Nope unless you want to spend some money on yourself - I went from an old rockhopper to a XC2 maxlight as the old one had rim brakes and I wasn't going to weld stuff on 🙂 I tend to replace the frame as you get a different ride for less money than a new pair of forks if a HT 🙂

I've compared the jommertry to a new bike and it's virtually the same as an orange five so even the idea of upgrading to more modern numbers seems pointless.

when the frame snaps, then buy a new bike

I'm currently riding my 2004 sworks enduro 3/4 times a week and its still running strong, bloody thing is bomb proof

(and it always makes the top bikes of all time list)

My frame did snap (well I snapped it) so I bought a second hand front triangle to replace the one that broke. I've now got a spare swingarm so I'm set for a while yet.
