After a year of Peaks dirt, my Reverb has started feeling a bit gritty in the last inch or so of travel. It's not affecting the workings of it at all, but I want to clean it before it wears prematurely.
I've seen the SRAM videos on how to do a full strip down and O-ring service but I'm sure this isn't really necessary just to give it a bit of a clean.
A friend of mine mentioned a Reverb mini-service, just taking it partially apart, cleaning the old dirty oil out and replacing with some fresh stuff. Has anyone done this / know how to do this? I'd like to do it myself if possible. Besides a vice and a big spanner for the silver collar, will I need any specific tools?
