Upgrading the old Rockhopper to discs at the request of the Mrs, (this is good news to me, she's obviously getting keener and concerned about her cred!)
Have had a look at Merlins offer 2009 deore hydraulics with mavic317 wheels for £200, looks reasonable to me, she's not hammering around the place mostly a bit of commuting to work and some old railway line runs with the daughter.
Occasionly I get to "borrow" it back and have a play and its crying out for decent stoppers.
Thoughts appreciated

That's a decent price, and the wheels will be very well made, and easy to get replacement parts as needed. Only other option to save maybe twenty quid buying separately would be the factory deore wheelset with odd numbers and types of spokes and buy the older model brakes cheaper at CRC. Buy the merlin deal.

You won't regret it, my Merlin deore/717 wheelset going strong 5 years later without a tweak.
