Best way to fit them, been doing this way for years, cocktail sticks are for sausages or cheese and pineapple chunks

Actual serious response- why cut down spokes? I tried that but it's miles more faff with threading, and you can't use them as easily to spin nipples off either (because they unthread). And a cocktail stick is one size fits all too

Am I missing something with how people use them?
