anyone know accurate weights for:
819's on hope pro hubs
Crests also on Hope
Arch EX on Hope
thanks
there's a wheel weight calculator on the Stans site. you can sub in the rim weight for the 819 once you've got the build weight for the others.
but I did a geek out spreasheet a while ago with weight from stans:
crest on ProII - 1559 (brass nips, dt comp(?)
Arch EX on ProII - 1679 (brass nips, dt comp(?)
Well the weight difference will just be in the rims, which themselves vary.
Crests are c340g
Arch EX are c420g
819s are 450g, plus the inserts at c50g and the longer nipples, which makes a very small difference, so call it 410g.
okay so 819's 100 g heavier than Arch basically......... not a hooge amount
thanks all
My rear arch is 967g with 32H Pro 2 Evo, comp spokes with proloc brass nipples.
My front with same set up but Arch EX with supercomp is 781g.
okay so 819's 100 g heavier than Arch basically......... not a hooge amount
Except they're also narrower and no cheaper.
yup - but I've already got one (on the back anyway, Arch on the front)
could buy new Arch (£215 ish) and sell 819 (£90 ish?) so £125 for 100 grms..)
having said that - did get some burping at the week-end after a slow puncture (using 2.25 nobby nic on the 819) - would wider Arch have prevented that? Never had any issues previously
Weighed new Hope Hoops ProII Evo with Crest last night (straight from box, no rotors or QRs etc.)on digi scales:
Front 752
Rear 862
