I built a fairly cheap TT/Tri bike recently, with the frame and wheels coming unbranded from China. It might not be the fanciest, lightest or flashest bike around by a long way, but it seems to be pretty quick, certainly quicker than I could do justice to!

I do however feel that it's looking a little bare, and want to add something to liven it up a little. I did want to add McDangerous, my nickname to the wheels, but it didn't really work due to the lenght - it would wrap almost 180 degrees around the rim.

My most recent thought is an abbreviation from The Rules, as my rather rough picture below crudely illustrates.

The bike in question is this

Any thoughts/ideas/criticism appreciated!

Cheers, Rich

That front QR isn't parallel with the ground. Don't let Realman see this....
As for your stickers, I'd go for unicorns. They look ace.

I think my QR's are fairly parallel, and the angle of the photograph is capturing more the fact that they point in a bit, maybe!

I dunno, get a spirit level on them. I'm a stickler for the rules me!
The stickers looks pretty good. I think the bike looks like a bit of a weapon all black though.

How about STFU

Where S = Spew

If you are doing the pointy hat thing ,that should be your final target.

How about a version of the hypnotic spiral?

I'd go for a Liger, they're mythical creatures!

Something on the lines of what Rusty said, that gives a freaky illusion when you're at full gas. No-one will be able to read HTFU when you go past in a blur 😉

Hmm...loving some of the ideas there guys 🙂

Unfortunately the hypno spiral would work best on a disc, and I've been cheap and just gone for 80mm deep rims.

Maybe some more thought on a crazy pattern is required.

The alternative is of course to always ride slowly so that people can read my wheel lettering, although that may somewhat defeat the purpose 😀

Cheers, Rich

A friend of mine started a small business doing vinyl cutting, has done some very nice looking stuff to date.

UberSticky is the place, Johnny is into trials and MTB and an all-round nice bloke.

Update time:

Had my stickers made, although they're a touch smaller than I intended, I think they look quite good 🙂

<goes to inspect bike>

to be fair, the QR is probably less than 5 degrees off horizontal, but certainly appears more so in that photo 🙂

I actually got the stickers done by Spiral GFX, very professional service and super-quick turn around too. Decent value I thought as well.

Cheers, Rich
