Ho hum
Ran out of talent and grip at Ashton court this afternoon, and washed out on one of berms and managed a spectacular faceplant.
A few scrapes and a badly Pringled front wheel, but nothing properly damaged but my pride 😉
Anyone know which lbs in Bristol has the best wheel guy? Ideally near Clifton or bedminster way
This will buff out ok, right?

Rob 'Box' Cooksley down at Bad Ass Bikes is good. Not exactly Clifton or Bemmy though.

+1 - and so are his mechanics Nathan and Dan. Best workshop in Bristol and North Somerset IMHO.
Clifton = Psyclewerks
yeah Psyclewerx just off Cotham Hill if you want close.
B.A.B if you don't mind travelling. I get them to do my wheels when I run out of patience.
Cool cheers guys, will see how easy it is to get to BAB, no car, do might have to be psyclewerx though
I'm sure Garlands in Bedmonster do wheels. I bought some spokes there once and I seem to recall them offering to build it for me.
not easy to get to BAB without a car.
James at Psyclwerx rebuilt a wheel for me last year and did a damn fine job, in fact after busting a couple of spokes and my ham fisted attempt at truing I'll be using his services again this week.
+1 for Psyclwerx
Dart tyre time-warp tastic!
IMO, that wheel will be condemned.
Sure you can pull it straightish, but there will be some pretty uneven tensions to get it there.
+me for Psyclwerx. I broke my chain on the fixed a few years back outside the shop, with no tools, they fitted a new one charged me what I had in my pocket and nothing for the fitting. Good guys........
Ouch, was rather hoping that wouldn't be the case, will see what they say in the lbs
This is the first time the darts really let me down, though I suspect it was mainly me, rather than the tyres fault 😉
NO WAY is that true-able...(without loosening the spokes and whacking it "about straight" - not worth it) rebuild time.
Yeah, I was being a bit optimistic I think, so what rims, stans or the dt 4.2 like is on there at the moment?
Must have been something going round, one of the guys in our group did the same today. Managed to bend it back to fit back in the frame. Made for a funny ride back to Bath!
