Planning on getting a new wheelset built for a 2017 Salsa Vaya frame.
My drivetrain is Shimano 5800 105 11 speed
Question is will a 5800 11 speed 11-32 cassette fit the Hope Pro 4 hub?
If not what cassette will work with my shifters
Any advice appreciated

Yes.
Cheers for that Simon really hoped it would I really like hope hubs
Just grabbed a set of hope pro 4 hubs from Merlin for £170 to build onto my new wtb rims
Cheers
I've just made up some Hope 4 hub & WTB KOM's with the help of this lass with the ace voice.
I did the front first & it's come out great , just done the rear today but she stated on her vid that the shorter spokes should be on the same side (left) for both the front & rear.
The spoke calculator website I have used is http://www.prowheelbuilder.com/spokelengthcalculator/
They have the short spoke listed as left for the front & right for the rear , which I have done (sorry Bjork). I have not put it on the bike yet for truing but I dont think it looks right.
Does anyone know who's right , Bjork or prowheelbuilder?
KOMs aren’t Asymetric so you can settle the front really easily by looking at the hub. If the flange on one side is bigger than the other, that’s the dude with the short spokes. Assuming the lengths are correct.
Rear is less clearcut as you’re going to be dishing the wheel. Check your measurements and trust the spoke calc. There is no general rule of thumb about diagonal opposites or whatever if that’s where you’re going. It’s possible you always use one brand of hub you might observe something but it’s not going to be a general case.
You shouldn’t even accept published measurements for hubs or rim ERDs. By all means learn from videos, but exercise caution unless it’s s very well known source. There’s no quality control over randoms putting up you-tube how-tos and it’s not uncommon to find very bad advice being given.
So long as you can measure, are methodical and have some mechanical sympathy wheel building isn’t particularly hard, but the more accurate your spoke lengths, the easier dishing and truing will be.
Thanks vincienup.
Tried it on earlier & its all looking good , had a wee play with the D.T.I & a wee tweak here & there its pretty straight already. Just going to make some cardboard dishing gauges as I dont have the proper ones.
All in all its a bit of a doddle to do when your shown the lacing patterns. Both wheels not a scratch & the hope logo lines up with the valve hole, I'm pretty chuffed 8)
Oh & I used this on the thread & nipple seats.
