Looking for someone to replace spokes and rim on my Easton 1750. LBSs charging £30, but I'm wondering if that's not a bit steep.

Thanks

£30 for a wheel build is probably about right (assume that's labour only). You might save a tenner elsewhere but not much more.

If you have the spokes you could always do it yourself I've got a wheel jig, book etc if you wanted to borrow. Cheers Luke

[edit] these guys are in Lancing and mighthttp://www.stradawheels.co.uk/ help -

Had a wheel built at Quest in Worthing which is holding up well. Can't remember the exact cost but think it was in the region of £30.

Have you tried Rayment cycles in Brighton? Had a pair of forks serviced and they were considerably cheaper than anywhere else so might be worth a call.
