Hi
I am trying to figure out what spokes I need to build up a set of carbon wheels 650b
I know some of you hate 650 so....

I have a set of nope pro 2 evo hubs. I intend to use light bikes carbon rims these

So can anyone help me figure out the spoke length needed

Assuming 32 hole 3 cross front and rear you need 32*272 and 32*274.

I'm currently pricing up a 650b build.

What have the rims worked out at cost wise including shipping?

Have you got a nice lbs? Take a box of biscuits and some tea bags and ask them.

I take mine round and use the wall chart. It's a lot more complicated that you think.

Rolling the flange in the chart etc.

You might be able to pick up some spokes cheap enough from them 2.

I build mine, get them pretty close and then my lbs finishes them off for £5.

I guess it all depends on how good and nice your lbs is.

They came in at 280.

I kinda want to do it myself. Can you reuse nipples and spokes?

You really can't use 280s! 2mm difference is about the max to ensure the wheel builds correctly. Check out action sports.de for good prices.

Also, if you're buying carbon rims get decent spokes. DT Swiss Revolution, Sapim CXRay or similar.

Just ordered some spokes revolutions like you advised. From what I can make out they are thin in the middle but 2mm at the ends? Nice!
