Time to finally admit defeat with my Easton Havens.

Had decided to go back to Hope for peace of mind however the extra 300g or so bothers me. I'm no weight weenie but I reckon if it matters anywhere it's on wheels.

I've seen Oozys at about the same price and read nothing but rave reviews. I'm just wondering how they fare long term particularly availability of spares.

Any long term users care to advise?

Stans's flow's get my vote. Strong, lighter than the enduros, doddle to get tubeless tyres inflated.

I've had my Spank Oozy wheel set for about 8 months now and highly recommend it. Super stiff and accurate in the turns and rock gardens. Takes a real good beating too. I managed to put a dent in the rear while riding in the peaks but I was being very aggressive with the bike and the frame and cranks also were showing scars so I can't fault the wheels. The dent pulled out fine and I'm still using the rim.

Spares are pretty easy to get hold of, CRC usually have a good stock of most common spares. The UK distributor is Hotlines which are pretty good too.

I would go with the Hope Enduro. I have had the Spank Oozy for eight months and ride South Derbyshire. The rear has two or three severe dents and dings in and the straight pull spokes now come loose after each ride. The rim is also 28H which does not provided the required strength.

I emailed both the distributor and Spank directly with no response.

I wont make the mistake next time and will stick with Hope.

I've been on three rides with my enduros and I can't fault them. I'm 15 stone and not exactly careful when on the trails. Also the 40 tooth hub pick up is much better than the old hubs.

The Spanks are a nice wheelset but the bearings could be better swap the cheapo units they come with for something from SKF, FAG etc and you'll be golden.

I cant understand why they got such good reviews. Wheels should be fit and forget. My Oozy's have been an absolute pain!

Spokes coming loose then trying to pick up the relevant spares.

The rims aren't particularly wide and certain tyres seem to fit best when using tubeless. Play in the front hub.

The 28H rim on the rear has now been replaced due to dings and dents.

My flows/hopes lasted well over two years.
