So far this week (from memory) i've been emailed discounts from,

Wiggle 15% Off list prices
Ribble 20% Off normal ribble prices
Primera 10% Off this weekend
PBK 10% Off this weekend
CRC £10 Off order over £50
Merlin 10% When sign up to VIP club

Are we seeing a sales war?

Shame Wiggle don't stock endura anymore as I have gift vouchers to spend there too.

You can also get an extra 4% off wiggle and CRC using money back sites (my referral if I am allowed to post it: http://www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/member21683511859/?s=2)

Basically takes your discount on a £50 order at CRC to 24% with the £10 voucher. Not bad! Credit card getting used tomorrow.

Ribble and Primera do Endura, might be worth a look?

Short pay month so in theory people have some spare cash. Also it's council tax free month too.

Add to that the fact that consumer confidence is low, and the rise in VAT is putting further pressure then yes, I reckon places are pretty desperate for your money.

Good point about the pay. End of month figures for the stores too I guess.

Hugh - looked at Ribble for Endura but didn't seem to apply the discount 🙁

Oh sorry, didn't notice the Ribble discount excluded Endura, it said the discount was on 95% of items.

They sometimes do a similar thing and exclude Assos, which is annoying as well.

The Wiggle discount is almost worthless.
It's 15% off list price, or RRP, not off the total in the shopping basket at the end.
Most of the stuff they, and other bike shops, sell is discounted anyway.

It's month end and they might be nowhere near sales targets so discount to maximise month end figures.

Ribble 20% Off normal ribble prices

I thought 20% off normal Ribble prices was normal Ribble prices - at least you've been able to get that almost continuously for the last few months.

Was in Scotby Cycles, Carlisle today and they have 20 - 30% off lots of nice bikes.
Walked out before a Spec Tricross tempted me.
