You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
As I've just bought a new bike, I was thinking of keeping my old one for a spare as I didn't think I'd get much for it. However, I might stick it on Ebay of the STW massive think I'll get something worthwhile. Its a 2008 Spesh Epic Expert XL which has had virtually every component replaced at least once and is currently in very good running order. This spring I spent £550 on bearings, gears, new brakes, cables etc
Overall its very sound for its age, so whaddya reckon? 😕

You might get your money back.
Take whatever figure you think would be acceptable.....and probably halve it 🙁

What did you end up buying? I'd put the old one up for £500 and be open to offers.
I bought the bike we were discussing....Giant Anthem 29er. It arrives tomorrow!
I don't really need to sell the Epic, but just wondering really. Quite nice having a back up when things go tits up suddenly, or its being serviced.
Nice - enjoy and let's us know how you go with it.

It will fetch what folk offer ( sadly).
In a mad moment, when I bought my new Trance SX in May, I gave my 2008 , heavily upgraded, well serviced 2008 Trance to a mate.
To be honest Im stoked that he's using it and becoming a serious mountain biker , as opposed to the bloke who needed to lose weight for the sake of his health and also that he's out with his mates rather than being in the pub.
