Ive just been looking at the 2012 brakes from Shimano and noticed they are pushing the new one way bleed system.

Can't find anymore information about it, why is it so special?

Which way are they saying it is? Top down or bottom up?

And why is it any different than before?

You have to get a bleed cup that screws into the top of the reservoir and a rod to block the hole in the cup, then you pump everything up to the cup. It does mean you can block the top and such air out which you were struggling to do before....but did you need to???? I thought no.

It is a bit like AVID

Who in their right mind would want to be anything like AVID??

I have done it once on the new deore...seemed to work

By the way..........the new deore are odd. They've taken a proven, acclaimed design and made it look weird with way too short levers and no asthetic appeal. I haven't used one in anger so I have to reserve comment and wait and see

Innovate or/and die/ffff up!!!!
