Thanks

We have sold all that are made.
We are making more.
We try not to air freight so as not to kill dolphins.
We are trying to get them in ASAP.
Any idea when the painted models will be revealed?
Brant Brant Brant. Can the next ones not be Matt black. Thank you
Brant, for the Hello Dave do you know what headset size & seat post diameter the frame uses? Thanks
We are trying to get them in ASAP
Is that the same as onshoring?

What kind of plane do you need to catch a flying dolphin?
This is pretty much the ultimate Sick! burn I think...

When they are painted. I’d hope that would be a week. Decals signed off yesterday. We’ll get those up on Fb and insta if they aren’t already.
I’ve just landed back from a week in China so I’m a bit behind on the medias this week.

31.6 post. 50mm lower, 44 upper.
Brant Brant Brant. Can the next ones not be Matt black. Thank you
We have just ordered a big stack of Hello Dave and will do a colour split I expect. I don’t decide such things tho.
This is pretty much the ultimate Sick! burn I think…
I don't think Sick had any problems selling them. It was the next bit where they struggled
Is the Hello Dave the shrike?
How are people planning to setup the Hello Dave? 29er or 650b+
2.5wt 29er for me I think
It's amazing to sell a whole batch of frames with no geometry charts, unless they were added after I looked at the site?
Charts are at the bottom of page 3 of this thread
How are people planning to setup the Hello Dave? 29er or 650b+
The yoke design on Hello Dave looks to be incompatible with big 650b+ tyre due to it being optimised for big 29in ones but retaining good crank clearance.
Is the Hello Dave the shrike?
It says SHRYKE on the drawings so I guess yes.
Slight hijack is there any idea on when the bootzipper will be available to buy 😀
Impatiently waiting for updates....
Any update on design?
Shopping for user 29er forks - will 175mm steerer be enough on a Hello Dave XL with a 140mm headtube? My preferred stem has a 30mm stack.
Does your headset add more than 8mm to the total? Do you want any potential to adjust the height?
I’d be looking for more...
Your looking at 20mm headset stack so with 30mm stem that’s 190mm with no spacers on XL that’s why I went with a L as my fork is 185mm steerer
Does anyone know what headset would work I. E. Hope pick n mix codes?
Headset Spec: ZS44/28.6-ZS56/40 for both 27.5 & 29
So definitely 56mm lower cup not 50mm now
50/44 according to Instagram post by on one???
So definitely 56mm lower cup not 50mm now
Yes
50/44 according to Instagram post by on one???
No
Anyone wondering if they should have gone for the XL Hello Dave? I’m wondering if I should have gone Large rather than XL
6ft 3 and went XL
*fork
Short if you ride fast wide open. Long if you ride steep.
Cheers, so given the geometry suggests the bike will favour stable over nimble, will a 51mm (longer) offset promote a more agile ride for twisty singletrack?
Can’t wait to see some pics of these hello daves built up and a few riders reviews!
@brant noticed the tik tik has been put back to 30/11/19
Will this be the same for the Hello Dave?
Any update on design yet? Be interested to see the concept!
Just asked On-One via chat and Mark confirmed it's now 30th Nov.
Shame it's all gone quiet... Would appreciate some updates on it
I'm looking forward to seeing the graphics for the 'dave, then find out if the parts I've ordered wont clash too much 😂. Here's hoping for subtle or silver...
Gloss on matte black please
Yes, also keen for some photos. Last component (forks) for my build arrive this week. It’s going to be a long wait for the frame...
Person: knock knock
Squirrel king: whos there
Person: doctor
Squirrel king: I think you’ll find its illegal to impersonate a doctor, I’m calling the fun police
Dave: you’re my wife now
Not only is this very funny but it is also a google whack
What parts have you gone for??
No SILVER on matt black!
Nah, my hearts not in it for a "who shouts wins" colour competition, to throw in a shovels worth of some meta-slurry it's down to the wizards to decide anyways.
Can the shade of black be decided on by committee though? I'm kind of up for a bike that can't be owned by Anish Kapoor.
Nice guandax! Looking forward to seeing some builds out there, what you opted for so far?
First thing I ordered was forks, haven't rolled forwards with the rest yet...
Also sorry I think I need to relearn how these forums work, was attempting to quote/tag.
Had a beer or four, started mashing on the touchscreen, my bad.
Have gone for :
Yari’s 150mm debonair (£350 new from Germany - may upgrade to Charge damper later)
Old set of m785 brakes
Superstar Isotope wheels (£180 new w/ discount)
SLX groupset, much of which I had already have
Brandx dropper (existing spare)
Magic Marys 2.6 front and DHR 2.4 rear
Ragley stubbing stem (my go to stem)
Charge Spoon saddle (the only option in my book)
760mm bars, should be 800mm but don’t have any spares that wide
This bike is “experimental” in my eyes (crazy geometry and my first 29er), so trying to keep the cost down. Frame will get swapped for a full suss frame next year if it’s not a keeper. Perhaps wheels will go too depending on how the ride/survive.
What are others planning?
Purchased
150mm lyrik ultimate
12 speed xt m8100 groupset and 4 piston brakes
Pacenti pdent bar and stem
Dmr death grips
Dmr vaults
Fabric saddle
Shopping List
Waiting for micro spline licence for wheels... But 30mm width minimum
Tyres 2.6 maybe 2.8?
One up v2 dropper 210mm (if it fits in frame)
Hope headset
Not only is this very funny but it is also a google whack
Eh? I know what a google whack is (2 words, returning 1 result on google), and that isn’t it.
This is my parts bin build
Did get a new set of forks for Smuggler so Hello Dave will get the Ohlins RXF34 140mm travel forks 46mm offset
Formula R1 brakes
Joystick carbon bar or Spank Vibrocore
Praxis cranks
Custom wheels rear LB carbon on Acros hub
Front Stans Sentry on Acros hub
XO1 shifter with Sunrace rear derailleur 11 speed can’t find my GX derailleur.
Brand X dropper
Pike Ultimate 150mm, 42 offset, Silver.
Hope Fortus 30, Silver.
SLX Drivetrain (might end up GX)
Zee Brakes
Chromag 30mm stem and top cap (silver), seatclamp (silver) and bars (black with silver decals)
All other bits black.
Stuck with 150 as can switch out the air spring to shorter/longer if needs be, whilst the 42 offset should help the bike feel that smidge shorter (43cm frame, 177cm rider), plus if I move them over to another build won't be too bad for 27.5"
The hope hubs will be a good build base if/when I kill the fortus rims.
2.35 to 2.6" tires, undecided yet, but swaying to narrower.
Pike 150mm, coil conversion at some point most possible
Dtswiss m1700 wheelset
Hope v4 brakes in purple
Slx 11 speed
Hope cranks with 32 ring
Spank stem with carbon Nukeproof bars
One up 210 dropper in the future but gusset Super long analogue post For the winter slop.
Nice.
Parts have now all arrived and I’ve built as much as I can. Tyres on wheels, brakes on bars with Levers on stem on forks.
43 days...
Good effort!!!
Frames looking good, nice one.
What rear axle do we need for Hello Dave? Thread pitch etc
Thanks
Any updates on this? Are the frames still due for 15th November?
Will the frame allow a 2.8 rear tyre?
Will spare hangars and spare drop outs be available?
Unclear why this post hasn’t been locked as a paging post by mods yet as one the other day was.
Frames on the water and due soon.
Frames are welded and painted and have not shrunk so a 3.0in tyre will fit.
Spares are ordered.
We are also doing another batch of Hello Dave frames as it sold really well.
They will be a touch more because we had to pay the proper price rather than the fire sale mates rates.
Great. Can't wait. What's the score on an axle?
Also, what the dickins is a 'Paging Post'?
Paging post....
A shout out to an individual on the public forum.
Paging Brant...can I fit a 26 X 1 1/8 in a pompino?
Paging Brant...what's the ett on a large v-braked 29er inbred?
Paging Brant...can I fit a Deore 22/32/42 chainset with a SRAM 11-36 cassette while running a Stan's crest with a 2.25 Nobby nic at 2bar in the forward position of the slot dropout.
And so on.
Was it confirmed that the tiktik would take a reasonable size 29 inch tyre?
Was it confirmed that the tiktik would take a reasonable size 29 inch tyre?
Yes. Chainstay yoke of TikTik is U shaped. Hello dave more C shaped.
29er ok in TikTik but 650 in hello dave not good.
Anyone had an update lately?
No...just waiting....tik,tik,tik
and sorting parts for the build..
Authentic buying experience then 😉
Just spoke (typed) to Dale at PX - apparently the Hello Dave's arrive with them on the 11th of December.
Anyone got a Tik Tik frame yet?
as above anyone received these frames yet?
Got to be close now... All parts purchased just don't know what to bolt them to yet?!
All parts purchased just don’t know what to bolt them to yet?!
Have you not ordered a frame then?
Ordered the dave as soon as it went live!
Still no news on axle
Guandax I spoke with customer services this afternoon as I was hoping to find out axle size for the final parts order. Supposedly they're coming with a axle for the dave now 🙂
Did they spec the axle for aftermarket alternatives?
I'd have thought so, 1.75p is fairly common. Just be a matter of axle length and the length of thread to find out.
Can't be long now!
Build is looking like:
Frame: large tiktik
Fork: 29" Cane Creek Helm coil 160mm
Brakes:Guide Rsc
Bars: PNW range Kw 780mm
Grips:PNW
Stem: six-pack leader 50mm (may change)
Wheels: Hunt Enduro Wide mullet format
Tyres: Eddy Current 29x2.6,Hans Dampf 27.5x2.6
Drivetrain: XT 1x12
Seatpost: oneup 210mm with pnw loam lever dropper

This was intended as a cheap project but backfired massively 🤦♂️
I bought this axle for the tik tik...
rock shox maxle 00.4318.005.028

Can’t be long now!
Hope to be building it next weekend. If not, at least next week.
