As per title, what is this? Someone will be able to Id it from the dropout, I'm sure. I'm not for buying it, just curious.

No idea but if I remember didn't Orange hardtails have cable routing along the side of the top tube and not along the top? Obviously this could have changed at some point. That ad states that "some mug" had painted it and put newer stickers on, suggests they didn't do much of a job painting it.

I'd say is it's an early Marin, prob something like a firetrail, but that's purely from the derailleur hanger as they used that type. Top tube cable guides would also match up. Most of an xlite seatpost too, although that looks like it may be seized?

Decals and paint was also purple on fire trails - but they were mainly polished alloy.

My 93 Clockwork had cable routing along the top of the top tube like the frame pictured.

Clockwork is steel and didn't have a replaceable dropout....

I know, just pointing out that they routed cables along the top of the top tube.

Those X Lite seatposts were awful, gave up on mine after three snapped bolts.

Yeah Aluminium O - 1992IIRC, I had one that I stripped and polished with Graftons, Toplines, Ringle etc that I sold to a neighbor. I tried buying it back for years after - I bet it's still in his garage now.

This version would match the purple mentioned in the description and the top tube mounted cable guides
