Price isn't really a factor, just life span, looks and abilty to hold a 15-16 stone person 🙂

Thanks!

Saddles are a VERY personal thing. I prefer the quite rigid Funn Skinny RL seats.

The old gel flow selli italia flites are good, the ones with a split in.

Combined with a USE titanium seatpost it is quite a springy combination, as the titanium rails on the saddle have elastomer mounts into the saddle.

"Saddles are a VERY personal thing."

That just about sums it up.
I didn't particularly like my SDG. I saw a lot of people endurance racing on a Fizik Gobi so tried one. It's what I use for 12 hour solo racing now.
I find a Charge Spoon OK too.

You're not really going to know what suits you until you've sat on it for a couple of hours.

About 14-15st here and do all-dayers on my fizik gobi no worries, as mentioned previously often cheap for sale on here because a lot don't get on with them and they come on a lot of high spec bikes like lapierre.

I have a Charge spoon on AM bike and Belair on XC bike. The Charge spoon suits my butt more than the Belair.
Being such a personal item, its can be hard to find a comfy saddle, but I would start at a Charge spoon as they are relatively cheap and most get on with them

SDG Ti-Fly - looks like a razor, but soooo comfy, especially with titanium rails.

I've always liked WTB. The 1 that came on my Yeti is good & the Volt looks alright as well.

Your going to have to try to see what works for you as said above, bel-air and gobi on my bikes at the mo.

See I'm coming from an SDG Bel Air, just thought there might be things out there that I've not experienced that I'm missing out on 🙂

I did once run a Gobi XM I think, but snapped it landing a jump very badly. Might have another look into that option 🙂

Charge Spoon and SDG Bel Air seem to be fairly safe bets I get on well with them meself. Madison Flux is indistinguishable from the Spoon

Max Flite and Prologo Vertigo Max also most excellent for the err...larger gentleman

Also have a Chromag Lynx and a carbon Selle Italia SLR on other bikes. The Chromag is fabulous - stylish and comfortable - but not exactly svelte. The SLR looks like a lightly padded razor blade but is surprisingly comfortable - all the flex is in the shell and the rails.

I've tried a fair few but keep coming back to the Gobi XM - just seems to work for me.

I really want to try a Prologo but haven't found a local dealer with one to try

If the Bel Air works, stick with that? If you want a bit lighter bling go for the Ti railed one.

I have tried loads, the one that doesn't ruin me is a Selle Italia SLR 165. It looks lethal, but my arse fits it fine.
