Need a set of xt brakes for Abigale, whats the differences, are they the same pads
8000 is the new, just out, XT. 785 is the up until very recently XT.
From Bikeradar
In keeping with current-generation caliper and brake pads, the new M8000 brakes receive a new lever and ‘integrated’ master cylinder design – to achieve a sleeker look, lower weight, improved durability and greater handlebar space, according to Shimano. Lever feel and feedback is said to have improved too.Where XT was previously available in either ‘Race’ or ‘Trail’ options, Shimano has simplified the choice and now only offers a Servo Wave model, like the previous Trail versions. As previously found on the Trail brakes, tool-free reach and Free Stroke adjustment remain.
A narrower clamp band (I-Spec II compatible) offers increased adjustment – beneficial for those using remote levers for suspension and/or dropper seat posts.
Here's another quote
The ever popular XT disk brakes have also been revised, with the new DEORE XT 8000’s featuring a lighter, cleaner and more durable integrated master cylinder, freeing up more space on the bar and giving a cleaner look. Shimano have also made some changes to the servo wave to provide more feel and feedback.
Pads look identical though.
Who's Abigale?

HTH
Abigale is her daughter.
Thanks will order the 8000 ones, just needed to ensure that the pads were the same.
Abigale is who the bike monies get spent on when were not upgrading/repairing our stuff.
She will be in the garage whilst we are at work plundering the spares box for upgrades to her new acquisition.
The M8000 look like the XTR M980 brakes but in a different colour.
There's a circular threaded cap on the end of the leaver reservoir.
What has she got now?
She is running XT 785 on her Enduro and Chameleon, all our bikes are on 785s for ease. New acquisition, Camber EVO, has come with new Formula C1s which will she will be taking off today and hopefully sold on
