looking to upgrade the brakes on my croix de fer to avids....anyone know the difference between the 2 versions apart from colour?

Road levers pull less cable - road specific ones are designed to work with cable pull road levers deliver.
EDIT: Similar q here for BB5's

Cable pull.
Road levers pull less cable than MTB levers and the road BBs are designed to cope with this.

Looking to do the same, I did have some MTB BB7 (sold yesterday) but I checked before I sold.
IMO only go for the BB7's not the 5's
