My mate's doing it N to S and then on to finish at Yorkhill hospital, and is stopping overnight at Inverarnan. Where is the detour aroung the unrideable bits?
From just after Inverarnan to Inversnaid. He can ride on the road to Tarbet and get the boat across. It's not [i]that[/i] bad though!
Ferry at Ardlui then back at Inversnaid?

Did I read a thing last year, that there's 2 paths along that section, a high and low, and that one's more bikeable? Only half a memory this
That's the bit just north of Rowardennan. There was originally a lochside path and a higher fireroad but the former was out of action for a rew years. They should both be signposted now
How much of the unrideable (for want of a better word) bit does that avoid?
(And did your seatpost make it back to you?)
That's not the "unrideable" bit. It's the section north of Inversnaid you need to worry about.
No seatpost yet but I'll ask one of the guys to make sure we collect it from Nevis in passing.
