I'll start by saying this: I already own two Cotic bikes, both frames bought from them direct, and I don't object to the price of the current Solaris - I get it, but I just can't justify it at present.
I'm looking to potentially sell one bike and swap the bits from my Cascade onto a hardtail frame, a do everything bike from bike packing to XC, local woods laps, gravel(ish riding) and kid seat duties. I could just plug a suspension fork into the Cascade, but I'd like to try some new-school geometry.
So what's out there?

£689 currently if you want a Blue one. Yes, I've read the thread on here. It wouldnt put me off at all.
Sonder Frontier (100mm sus forks) or maybe the new Falco (120mm)?
Either would do what you want but the Frontier is better for bike packing duties.
Do you mean made out of 853 or similar fancy steel?
You might have to look secondhand TBH. Is the preceding SolarisMax a bit too aggressive for your needs?
Did I buy a Solaris frame off you years ago BTW?
Not sure how much cheaper you want but as Kelvin is alluding to, Cotic have £300 of the current colours to make way for the new colour.
I’ll tell you what’s like a Solaris but not Solaris money, a run out model Solaris…
I emailed Paul, frame ordered! This was an expensive thread 😂 Thanks @kelvin
This will be my third new reduced price Cotic frame as I seem to keep catching them as an private occurs!
Glad to be able to support them again, and that the forum still works, long live STW.
Brilliant work!

+1. I've got one. It's fun and versatile, and if you get a deal on them, nicely affordable. (A Solaris was on my radar but that's a lot of money. I ended up with a s/h 429 frame for a very competitive price).
