But not a Camelbak Charge LR? Got two in various states of falling to bits. Love the fit but they are a bit lightweight and don't crash too well.
Tried a Skyline which looked perfect on paper but just couldn't get it to stay put no matter how I adjusted it, think my back is just too long.
Moved to a Camelbak waist pack / bumbag thing and a water bottle which was OK if a little bouncy. Latest bike doesn't have a bottle mount or anywhere sensible to put one so back using a knackered Charge. Anything similar fit wise and preferably a bit sturdier out there?
May be of some use to you but obviously it's down to personal preference \ shape.
I used an Evoc bumbag for a month or two, never got on with it. Always falling down past my hips no matter how much I tightened it up though I do believe there's a newer model that is better. Evoc bag tore in the wash so good excuse to replace it.
Got a Camelbak skyline as they were almost giving them away a few months back. For me it's one of my my top two favourite packs ever, completely forget it's there when on and never moves around over jumps, rock gardens etc, loads of room for any pack, never mind a small pack.
The other contender though is the Evoc FR Lite which has the same characteristics but with a built in (removable) back protector. Doesn't come with a bladder but you probably have some from those trashed packs. The one I have is 6+ years old and still going well. Twice weekly use (up to a few months back) in all conditions, more crashes than I care to remember and multiple week long trips. Through the washing machine 30+ times. The only damage incurred was from a pet rabbit chewing through one hip strap 🙁 .
Evoc might suit you as it's a very long and consequently stable, comfortable pack. At a good price atm on Sports pursuits
