What’s it worth?

Genesis Vagabond frameset 2019 Size M (bought brand new in 2020 as I preferred the yellow colour to the 2020 model)

Hope Tech XC wheelset (very lightly used, very good condition)

Shimano 105 2x11 shifters (few cosmetic marks)

TRC Spyre C callipers with jig wire compressionless housing (feel really good for cable discs on road shifters)

Shimano GRX FC-RX600 1x11-speed Crankset 40T (bought brand new)

Shimano GRX RD-RX812 1x11-speed Rear Derailleur (bought brand new)

Sunrace MX8 11-46t Cassette (bought brand new)

On-one Midge bars (bought brand new)

Ritchey carbon seatpost (swapped over from my old bike)

Ridden literally twice. Probably done around 20miles maximum. I built this up with the view to use it for exploring the local bridleways to get some extra miles in the legs but it turns out having a baby pretty much puts a stop to that...

So yeah, if I was to sell, what would it be worth?

Photo shows the bike with the old bars and pre bar tape. Saddle would also be swapped to a charge spoon.

I cannot get the image links to work for the life of me. Here’s the URL’s.

£700ish to right buyer I'd say.

Complete new they were £1000 I think.
Though I got mine for £750 in a sale.

This is better spec than standard, but only to someone who knows what they're looking at.

Yep, I might be tempted at around £700 mark.

Yeah, for that price I would be splitting it for parts I think. There’s one on eBay now, looks like well ridden 2016 model for £850 (I know it hasn’t sold) so was hoping for a lot more than £750.

I love a what's it worth stealth ad.

So what price do you have in mind for it? Tell us and we will let you know if you are being realistic. What did it cost you to build?

Your best bet is put it on ebay, 99p start. Lots of pictures, lots of info and start the auction. Hope the lack of bikes and the new buzz gets you more money.

However, it's a very limited market for that bike, essentially a monster cross and a heavy one at that.

I think you might be right, stripping it might be the way to go if you can be bothered.

I have a standard one, 2019, ridden about 10 days, incl a Hebridean bikepacking trip. I honestly reckon it’s worth about £400-£500. People don’t want upgrades, they just want a bike. I think as a full bike you might get £750 on a very lucky day, but more like £650. Splitting could be better returns as you say.
