Just a generally question of how much values tend to drop on bikes over a given time. Specific example is Genesis Core 30, 18 months old, retail new for £850, standard spec. Do bikes drop at a fairly common rate for example 20% after yr 1 and so on?

I’m no expert, but presume bikes depreciate like cars and it all depends on supply and demand, condition, location, age etc. but most of all it’s only worth what you can get someone to pay!

I often rekon after 2 years 50% myself for bikes - they really dont hold their value at all 🙁

40%-50% in a year depend on brand, size or how many people are interested. cotic souls seam to hold their money.

£450 for the genesis, would be my guess.

Cheers, the point about it only being worth what someone will pay is very true! £450 is what I was expecting/hoping so thats not too bad
