Just bought a new x-fusion dropper post and in the instructions it tells you to use Fibre Grip on the saddle rails. Is the same as carbon Assembly paste? Is it essential? Shall I just put it together and forget about it?

It allows for much lower clamping force to be used, my experience with my reverb was that using it without paste resulted in the bushings binding as the post was effectively crushed slightly and it not raising/lowering properly. Fiber paste cured it.
