As title really. Quality control and customer service, reasonable delivery times etc. Probably just over enthusiastic window shopping from me.

They were having horrific reviews for delivery times a while back. Do a bit of googling.

Friend had some problems with last year's shapeshifter on the Strive. They posted him an updated replacement and it's fixed his problems. Contrast that to a Norco I bought from Evans where it took many months and several trips back and forth to sort out a couple of discs and I'm wishing I'd bought a Canyon too!

Friend has waited 4 months for a warranty replacement frame and had no end of trouble with them. I hear this a lot about Canyon from others along with the common frame cracking problem he's had.

Had way worse than that with a yeti from my lbs.

I got a Spectral a couple of years ago. Great bike for the money but took ages to arrive, PF BB squeaked like a stuck pig, but they gave me up to £100 to fix it.

Mate got one a few months ago, much the same experience except the BB was OK.

Sort of wish I'd spent £500 more getting a bike from a LBS, but not unhappy with it.

They've sent me a POC helmet today. I'll let you know how the service is.

Delivery times are what they say it will be on their website. The issue they had last year was annoying as it took a long time to arrive, but their estimate on when it would arrive was spot on. Apparently that issue is sorted now so should be much quicker.

I recently sent back a fox fork to them under warranty and they had it fixed and sent back to me within a few weeks, so can't complain. Very simple process and they didn't cause any fuss. Communication were good too.

I've only had a good experience. Ordered an outlet hybrid and it arrived in 3 days. Had a minor issue and they offered to sort it at an lbs or refund the part if i returned it.

Thanks for the replies. Keep looking at the Spectral Cf but never spent that much without it being from a shop so was just curious as to how people have been getting on recently with them as the reviews in the past haven't always been that great. Other option is Transition Scout but not carbon.

Friend of mine had a carbon road bike crack after only a few rides. This was at the end of June, after a lot of slow communication he received his replacement a Month ago. I would now never consider buying a bike from them

They had a big problem with their IT system last year which caused them no end of problems and a lot of bad press. (They managed to 'lose' my order 3 months after I placed it) That said I've had 2 road bikes and three mountain bikes from Canyon over the last few years and the after sales service has been very good. A few warranty issues that did arise were sorted out swiftly and the bikes have been great. I rode a Strive CF in the Alps last year and it was faultless. I'm now riding a Dude in the winter in the Alps and it's great fun.

Found cracks in my 14 month old Aeroad and the warranty service (or utter lack of) has been a bit of a mare, but they came good in the end. Don't be put off by stories of woe though as their bikes really are superb.

Thanks for everyone's comments but been swayed by a good offer from the bike shop so no Canyon for me now.
