My mate’s ( yes really) after a new mtb but only wants to spend about £500 . He only goes out once a week at best & isn’t going to be off bezzing round the Peak District anytime soon .

Apart from a Voodoo bizango or a Boardman is there anything else he should be looking at ?

I’ve suggested that , & that’s the way I’d go personally, but he wants to buy new ( could afford to spend a lot more too the tight git !)

There's a few on paulscycles.co.uk in the price range that might be worth looking at. Depends on size.

Decathlon seem to do fairly good bikes for their price bracket. Not sure of the finer details though.

Suggested Decathlon & the Calibre Two Two to him ...Paul’s Cyles might be worth a look 👍🏻

I think the Bizango was definitely top of his list - probably just needed confirmation

How about a 2017 Saracen Mantra Pro for £400 from biketart (with a 10% off code) leaving £100 towards a dropper?
